MacLehose Trail is as Long as a 100 Km long hike trail, but Tuen Mun to Gold Coast is short and the best hike. We started from Tuen Mun and ended at Gold Coast Hong Kong, around 2 hours for slow climbing and walking.

Heading to Tuen Mun to Gold Coast area:
Especially for those who want Hiking but a very, very basic one, I recommend MacLehose Trail from Tuen Mun to Gold Coast. If you walk faster it may take one hour and a half plus, otherwise slow walking with your friends and families takes around two hours. Walking Steps are excellent; seating benches are available at the junction area for the rest.

Take a west rail MTR to Tuen Mun and exit at V-City or take Bus or minibus anywhere in V-city and find the starting point(or the endpoint of the MacLehose Trail ).
Uphill start
Just after starting, it takes about 30 minutes more uphill and the steps. Steps are well arranged, seating benches are set up at the junctions to rest during tiredness.
Various plants and we saw many jackfruits are ready and fall on the ground because Chinese people will not prefer to eat these fruits. But in India and the other Southeast Asian countries, these are trendy fruits and vegetables at the initial stage.
Flat nice walking Road
Once you get up around 30 minutes, it is the end of our goal of Hiking ( our goal is Tuen Mun to Gold Coast); after that, there is a straight and 10-12 minutes walk down to reach Gold coast Sokun yat.
The water channel is on the left side of the walking trail, constructed very strongly to withstand heavy water pressure during rainy sessions.

From the smooth walking trails above the Tsuen Wan, you can see beautiful views from there. My family and I captured some of the stunning views of skyscrapers, Gold Coast, Tuen Mun, Yuen extended Area.
Tuen Mun BBQ area
The government has set up a permanent BBQ area with seating shade which is extremely useful for sudden heavy rainfall, sudden hail, or so on for protection. But, I did not see the toilet and the water facility near the Barbeque setup region. Due to Pandemic ( Covid-19), BBQ and similar gatherings are still not allowed in the public place.
